Many of you probably follow Jim Long (@newmediajim) on Twitter. Jim’s a good-humored, approachable guy in the twittersphere, despite having about a BAZILLION Twitter followers. 
The coolest part? He “follows” damned-near everyone who follows him. This is a guy who gets it.
The dude has an amazing story: he’s a videographer, journalist and producer. His tweets hail from the White House, the campaign trail, overseas … you name it. But this is no crabby old-school journo, folks: Jim’s extremely active in the social media community, and has created a company that bridges the gap between the best of “old media” and what’s on the horizon here, on the ‘Net. (Like I said, here’s a guy who gets it.)
Here’s where you come in. Jim will soon embark on a trip to Africa. Stops include Tanzania, Rwanda, Liberia and Benin. There may be a stop in Rwanda. He’s stoked about the trip, since he hasn’t seen much of the continent. Let’s keep him amped up and excited by cheering him on.
